Wait for Me (Reprise) - Hadestown Animatic

...After Orpheus convinces Hades to consider letting Eurydice return to the land of the living, Hermes brings the lovers the god's final decision. They will be allowed to leave the Underworld under one condition: Eurydice has to walk behind Orpheus, and if he turns around to make sure she's coming too, then she goes back to Hadestown, and there ain't nothing he can do... I became obsessed with Hadestown all the way back in 2019, and have been planning on making an animatic for it since, but it was too intimidating to ever complete anything. I also hit a big artblock, so I just made peace with the fact that my animatic days are behind me... Until I saw the OBC on West End this February, and Something Changed. I started working on thumbnailing this animatic way back in 2022 and made no proper progress. In fact, I haven't worked on a single animatic since 2018. But when I picked up my stylus again, it took 2 weeks to go from 5% completion to 100%. ❤️Big thank you to my friends for giving me feedback and cheering me on during my feverish stampede of a work process, as well as coming to London with me in the first place, fellow Hadestown fans who inspired me with links and conversations, my dog for being patient as I charted choreography for the walking sections during his walks, and Eva Noblezada for always always bringing the house down with that final verse!❤️ 🌹Programs used: Audacity Clip Studio Paint Lightworks 🌹Tip jar: https://ko-fi.com/D1D6AMFO 🌹Find me on social media!
