Everybody has to do their part. Emma Macdonald volunteers at the Fort Greene Community Fridge, a revolving refrigerator that's filled with healthy, free food for families in need. It's maintained by the same community it serves. 'The group who organized it is creating a community amongst ourselves,' Emma says. 'It's a really powerful way of making a little effort.' We're all a part of so many communities that we might not even realize we're in them. That means we have numerous opportunities to chip in and make them fun, accepting, and encouraging places to live. We can each take a look at the issues affecting our communities and identify ways to make things better. The
